We’ve started work on a book documenting the event – it includes stunning images by Elizabeth Olivier Kahlau and text by Meredith Randall. It is Designed by Studio 5, and sponsored by Estelle Dippenaar. The book will be released in December 2011 in Plettenberg bay at a venue still to be confirmed.

For five days Hannelie built and rebuilt the ‘family portrait’ after every cycle of tidal destruction. Thus the artwork became a meditation on the nature of relations, and the genetic and cultural building stones of families.
